Yola Talks With NPR's "On Point"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Yola was the guest on On Point from NPR member station WBUR on Tuesday. "Ladies and gentlemen: Turn. It. Up," exclaims host Meghna Chakrabarti at the start of the interview. "You're gonna wanna hear this music and this woman. And you're going to wish you've had a twelve-month streak like Yola has had ... We needed music like this right now." The two discuss Yola's multiple Grammy-nominated, Dan Auerbach-produced debut album, Walk Through Fire, and that year-long streak following its release—or, as Yola puts it, "a weekly update of life-changing news." You can hear their conversation here:

Yola released a deluxe digital edition of Walk Through Fire, which includes her cover of Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and a new song, "I Don't Wanna Lie." The album is available to download in the Top40-Charts.com Store, iTunes, and Amazon, and is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.

Yola continues her tour at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn tonight, followed by shows in DC, Philadelphia, and Toronto this weekend. She performs at the MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Aerosmith in Los Angeles over Grammy weekend, will make her Austin City Limits debut taping in early February, and has been added to the Bonnaroo Music Festival lineup in June.
