NEW YORK (AP) - Boyz II Men will release Legacy (The Greatest Hits Collection) via Universal Records on November 13. The 14-track collection focuses on the Philadelphia-based foursome's classic sound from its four multiplatinum Universal/Motown albums, including the groundbreaking 1991 debut album, Cooleyhighharmony, as well as 1994's II, 1997's Evolution, and last year's Nathan, Michael, Shawn, Wanya. Legacy contains the Number One hits "End Of The Road," "One Sweet Day" (with Mariah Carey), "I'll Make Love To You," and "4 Seasons Of Loneliness," in addition to songs such as "On Bended Knee,'' "Pass You By," "Hey Lover" (with LL Cool J), and "Motownphilly."

Since Boyz II Men debuted in 1991, a number of male vocal groups have hit the pop, R&B, and adult charts with similar vocal stylings and moves. Boyz II Men member Shawn Stockman told LAUNCH how he feels about his group being considered an inspiration for those that followed. "When we first came out, 'boy band' was never even used," explained Stockman. "The phrase was never used to describe us because I think that a boy band... you have to fit a certain category, and I don't think we fit any of those categories."

Stockman added, "As far as the other boy bands doing their thing, we're happy that we were involved in such a hugely successful era in the music industry. It's always nice to know that we've inspired some pretty famous folks."
