New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lo-fi punk/shoegaze duo CULTDREAMS are delighted to announce that they will be supporting SLOW CRUSH (Holy Roar Records) on their forthcoming March 2020 EU tour dates.

The news comes hot on the heels of the release of The Piano Sessions EP, which is out now via Big Scary Monsters, and features a handful of lovingly-arranged, downtempo piano reworks of some of the band's favourite tracks from their recently-released ambitious second album Things That Hurt (also out now on Big Scary Monsters).

To mark the release, the band have revealed a very special live piano performance video of EP track 'Born An Underdog, Still Living One'.

Commenting on the track, vocalist Lucinda Livingstone says: "This was one of the first songs we wrote for TTH, and it definitely felt very different sonically to our old material—I wasn't sure this would make it onto the record and as soon as I sent it to Conor he replied with 'that's the opener then isn't it?'"

"For the album version we made it sound as huge as we could, so it was nice to strip everything back to the bare bones with the piano arrangement. I wrote the lyrics almost 4 years ago now but never found the right time to use them. It's a song for anyone that has spent a lot of time reflecting on their childhood and in later life is trying to make more sense of who they are, and how things affect them in different ways, and relating that to things that happened to them growing up."

Latest this month the duo head out on their biggest ever UK headline tour dates beginning on 21st February 2020, with the band also recently announcing that Kermes will be joining them as main support at all dates except for Brighton (see below for listings). Tickets are on sale now from: https://www.cultdreams.co.uk/

This latest release and string of live dates follows hot on the heels of their success on extensive November 2019 tour dates with Milk Teeth and Nervus in support of the pair's second album Things That Hurt, released earlier this year via Big Scary Monsters Records.

Their bombastic new sound has seen Cultdreams crucially building on early support for cult debut release Seafoam, buoyed up on a raft of increasingly-high-profile critical praise from The iNewspaper, Kerrang! Magazine, Total Guitar, Alternative Press, CLASH, PRS M For Music Magazine, The 405, UPSET, Punktastic, Dead Press, Already Heard and a huge swathe of blogs, many of whom hailed Things That Hurt as a generation-defining "album of the year" from a band who had most triumphantly arrived.

The album's lead single 'We Never Rest' is also out now and features Katie Dvorak and David F. Bello of The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, and saw the band breaking through at radio for the first time, with heavy airplay support from BBC Radio One, Radio X, Amazing Radio, and Apple Music.

The Piano Sessions EP is out now via Big Scary Monsters

More about Cultdreams:

Cultdreams turned plenty of heads with their 2017 debut album Seafoam, with the pair receiving praise from the likes of The iNewspaper, Kerrang! Magazine, Total Guitar, PRS M For Music Magazine, She Shreds, The Quietus, Drowned in Sound, Louder Than War, New Noise, Substream, UPSET, Discovered Magazine, The Skinny, Alternative Press and many more. On Seafoam the band boldly and unflinchingly explored depression and PTSD whilst shining a light on harmful behaviour, sexual harassment and every-day misogyny in society.

The band took two years to tour the material internationally, including support slots with Enter Shikari, Pianos Become The Teeth, Foxing, The World Is A Beautiful Place…, Gnarwolves, and Nervus. There were also festival appearances at 2000 Trees, Arctangent, The Great Escape, TRUCK Festival, NXNE, Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Ottawa Explosion, and The Fest, plus a gruelling 8 week DIY tour of the USA and Canada which the band booked themselves.
