New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Hot on the heels of their recent support tour with HMLTD and a sold out Manchester headline show, Liverpool art-rock band SPQR are pleased to reveal the official video for their new single 'Just Sumfin', which is out now.

The track was recently added to Spotify's Hot New Bands playlist and Deezer's Freshest Bands Around playlist, with the video slated on VEVO's All New Indie channel.

Filmed at Vessel Studios and directed by long-time collaborator Liam Powell, it's a different approach from the band this time around—simplistic, clean visuals with sharp aesthetics that mirror their increasingly refined songwriting, which is now beginning to turn heads at BBC Radio One, Radio X and Amazing Radio, who included the single in their Tunes of The Week recently.

"Having previously made fairly abstract narrative videos with the band, I felt a bit out of my depth when they said they wanted to do a performance video!" explains Powell. "The biggest challenge was trying to do something simple in a way that both felt unique to the band and captured where they're at currently. We wanted to do this big studio shoot, but in a way that was a little grounded, so we had the idea to do a 'making of' for that big glossy music video shoot we had imagined."

"The idea for the video was that it looked super pro, like we were about to do a full big thing," adds front man, songwriter and producer Peter Harrison, "but the real video was like a little tester take, hence why you can see all the set, crew and paraphernalia, and it ends with a final take about to begin. I explained that terribly didn't I... just watch it you'll know what I mean! It was filmed by our wonderful director Liam Powell and our lovely friends played the parts of the crew. It's all one shot, and looks great. Thanks to Vessel Studios too for letting us invade your space for an afternoon!"

'Just Sumfin' is the second track to be taken from SPQR's recently-announced forthcoming third EP, No Brain, No Pain, released on 30th April 2020 via all good digital service providers, with the record also available on vinyl via their own label, Nuthin Gud Records.

The are band set to support SHEAFS later this month, followed up by a clutch of festival appearances including Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, and Hit The North already lined up.
Further live dates TBA.

Produced by the band, and mixed by Alex Quinn (She Drew The Gun, The Blinders), forthcoming four track No Brain, No Pain is the trio's most ambitious work to date and charts the constantly evolving and broadening songwriting of one of Merseyside's most exciting creative prospects, recently selling out their latest back-to-back Liverpool headline residency shows at The Kazimier Stockroom in record time.

Previous singles picked up radio support from BBC Radio One (Daniel P Carter), BBC 6Music (Tom Robinson), Radio X (John Kennedy), Amazing Radio, Kerrang! Radio, and BBC Introducing, with press coverage at The Metro, The Line of Best Fit, The Quietus, DIY, CLASH Magazine, and streaming support from Spotify (Hot New Bands, The Punk List, All New Indie ), Deezer, Vevo, and Amazon.

Known for their visceral and experimental new brand of art-rock, during their short tenure to date SPQR have already appeared at BBC 6music Fringe Festival, Future Yard, Off The Record, Liverpool Sound City, Dot To Dot, and Bluedot Festival. Alongside their festival appearances the band have supported METZ, Childcare, Mini Mansions, and Demob Happy, and toured the UK extensively.
Releasing two EPs to date, the band also scored a personal inclusion from Everything Everything on their 2019 Airplane Mode compilation with BBC radio DJ, Andy Backhouse.
