New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Film director and film score composer Nicole Russin-McFarland has released her film score, Esther in Wonderland. Written with bravura, the flame haired glamazon reimagines Peer Gynt with her own crafted melodies that came to her in a dream.
"Where do dreams take you? James Cameron dreamed of a war between humans and machines. He wrote it all down and drew imagery. That dream became The Terminator," Nicole wrote on her website, CinematNIC.com, in December 2019.
" I dreamed I was in Alice's wonderland. In the background, I heard music from Peer Gynt...rewritten by my mind as if I were awake! When I woke up, I wrote down the details I could remember."

Esther in Wonderland leaves listeners breathless with its relaxing piano melodies spanning several octaves, on point counter-melodies, and sensational passion. The album was received with fascination when Nicole shared the music with film industry professionals, testing the waters.
"At least 50 people told me it reminded them of Danny Elfman's work, people who never say anything nice at all and one day wrote me and texted me back. In full honesty, I thought most would ghost me and never say anything about the album! Everything is a surprise because I was worried about how well perceived old school classical music would fit into modern film scores and how my new themes on every track would blend with Grieg's old material. The song people are warming up to the most is 'I Dreamed I Was Alice in Wonderland,'" she says.

The film score accompanies her upcoming animated feature film, The Homework's Revenge: Esther in Wonderland and is now available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.
