New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Capitol Records released a candid new song from Lola Young, "None For You." With its stripped-back beats, lilting keys and warmly soulful mix of R&B and jazz, the track offers additional insight into Young's artistry. Produced by Manuka, her frequent collaborator, "None For You" is from Young's forthcoming EP, Renaissance, which will be released on April 28.

Accompanying herself on piano, the 19-year-old South London artist gives a moving live performance of the song in the accompanying video, which was filmed in the echoing halls of London's V&A Museum, the world's leading museum of art and design. View HERE. Young's performance marks the first time an artist has been permitted to record at the V&A.The grandeur of the space - the museum's Morris Room, built in 1868 and named for famed Victorian designer William Morris - is a fitting match for her impressive vocal ability and underscores the renaissance themes of her new EP. Balan Evans (John Newman, Flyte) directed.

Lola Young says, "'None For You' is about a relationship where you no longer have time for a person after they did you 'dirty'. This song is about pain and loss, but also about choosing to love yourself instead of that person and picking your own well-being over theirs. The lyric 'I gotta whole lot of time on my hands but just none for you' sums up the concept of this song."

"None For You" is the follow-up to "Pick Me Up" which was prominently featured on numerous playlists, including Spotify's U.S. and U.K. New Music Friday, Tidal's Rising (earning the cover and the #1 spot), Amazon Music's Chill Generation, placing at #1 in the U.S. and U.K., and Apple's New Music Daily. Hailing the song as a "bruising breakup anthem, Idolator declared, "Young cements her status as one of 2020's most exciting new talents." Billboard praised the "velvet-voiced Lola Young" in its premiere of the official video for "Pick Me Up."

Q Magazine observed, "Young's songs bring her open-hearted lyricism and London Twang together with a neo-jazz sensibility with one foot always pointed in the direction of the nearest dancefloor." Dummy said, "Lola Young has the most powerful and affecting voice we've heard in some time…the young singer is gaining ground fast." Hunger Magazine noted, "The singer-songwriter has her own, uniquely raw take on music."

Drawing on a unique gift for writing songs that encapsulate and explore the human condition, Young turns extremely personal emotions into songs that resonate with universal truths. She began writing music at age 11. Young is a recent graduate of the Brit School, whose alumni include Amy Winehouse, Adele, Freya Ridings, FKA Twigs, Jade Bird, Jessie J, Leona Lewis, Loyle Carner and Rex Orange County.
