Louise Goffin Announces New Album, 'Two Different Movies' (Out June 12)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Grammy-nominated producer and singer/songwriter Louise Goffin announced her new album, 'Two Different Movies' (out June 12). Today, Louise shared her latest song, "Every Love Song." "Louise goes to church with the devotional hymn" (American Songwriter), opening on a gospel-inspired organ that crescendos into a piano-driven pop anthem reminiscent of the Laurel Canyon rock scene.

On the 10-track 'Two Different Movies,' Louise shows her keen songwriting talent as she breathes new life into timeless sounds from melodic, lyrical singer-songwriter to jazz-leaning ballads, Americana, strutting glam, and breezy California folk-pop. This collection captures the magic of live performance in real-time and the musical-map of her personal influences, a wide array of twentieth and twenty-first century popular records.

Louise has spent her career aligned with some of the greatest musical talents of the era, and that's no different on this new album. The cover artwork is a hand-drawn sketch of Louise at age 11 by Joni Mitchell, and she recorded and co-produced it with 4x Grammy-winning producer Dave Way (Fiona Apple, Ziggy Marley) alongside a top-shelf group of musicians including Van Dyke Parks (The Beach Boys, Ringo Starr), Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers), Greg Leisz (Buddy Miller, Watkins Family Hour).

Louise is the daughter of songwriting giants Carole King and Gerry Goffin, influenced by their love of songs from an early age and contributing to the family legacy throughout her multi-decade career, which includes ten albums on both major and independent labels. Crediting her parents' contagious creativity, Louise has played a number of roles on and off the stage, including launching her career opening for Jackson Browne at age 17, touring with Tears For Fears and writing songs for and producing her mother's 'A Holiday Carole,' which earned her a GRAMMY nomination. In an effort to preserve the creative ingenuity of her parents, Louise serves as the founding director of The Goffin & King Foundation, a non-profit that provides mentorship and education for the next generation of hitmakers. More recently, Louise launched her Song Chronicles podcast, where she explores and demystifies iconic songs with the songwriters themselves, showing the insider point of view and open mindset that up-and-coming writers can emulate when creating songs that could be the hits of the future.

Today, tune-in to Louise's Facebook at 4pm ET / 1pm PT to hear her perform "Every Love Song" and more from 'Two Different Movies', HERE.
