New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Grammy nominated, multi-platinum rap superstar Gunna released his new single "WUNNA," the title track off of his forthcoming sophomore album. The countdown to the May 22nd release of the WUNNA album is on, as Gunna is set to give fans an exclusive behind the scenes look into the making of his new album. In partnership with Amazon Music, Gunna is releasing part 1 of his WUNNA album documentary today at 12pm PST/3pm ET and releasing part 2 of the documentary on Tuesday, May 19th at 12pm PST/3PM ET.

"WUNNA" follows Gunna's most recent hit, 'Skybox'-the first single off his highly-anticipated upcoming album which has amassed over 47 million streams to date. His immense success has been on the rise since the release of his debut album, Drip or Drown 2. The album landed on the charts as the #1 Hip-Hop Album in the United States and #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts, making it the top debut album for its week of release. His hit "Drip Too Hard" featuring Lil Baby off of the Drip Harder mixtape is certified 7X Platinum and was in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100. Most recently, the track landed him a 2020 Grammy nomination in the Best/Rap Sung Performance category. In addition, Gunna's hits "Baby Birkin" and "Speed It Up" are certified Platinum.

When the history books open up, "Drip" will forever be associated with the meteoric and platinum rise of Gunna. Dubbed "The King of Drip" and pegged "to take over the rap world" by Interview, he generated over one billion cumulative streams and achieved one platinum and two gold certifications within a year. Now, he submerges the whole game in "Drip" on his 2019 full-length debut, Drip or Drown 2 [YSL Records/300 Entertainment], and singles "One Call" and "Speed It Up."

Born and raised in College Park, GA, he immediately gravitated towards innovative hip-hop from the likes of OutKast, Cam'Ron, and Future. Signed to YSL Records, he famously teamed up with label boss Young Thug and Travis Scott on "Floyd Mayweather" from 2016's Jeffery. Shortly after, he dropped the seminal mixtape Drip Season. 2017 saw him serve up the sequel Drip Season 2 and Drip or Drown. He ascended to superstardom during 2018. Drip Season 3 put up unbelievable numbers, earned Drake's fandom, and garnered looks from Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue, Complex, and more. Not to mention, he joined forces with frequent collaborator Lil Baby for the collaborative Drip Harder, which bowed at #4 on the Billboard Top 200. The project yielded the platinum Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit "Drip Too Hard" and gold "Never Recover" [with Drake]. He teamed up with Travis Scott and NAV for the ASTROWORLD favorite "Yosemite," Mariah Carey for "Stay Long Love You," and Metro Boomin for "Space Cadet," which they performed on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Plus, he participated in fashion shows for Pyer Moss, Off-White, and Yohji Yamamoto.
Now that Drip Season is underway, it's never going to end.
