Yola Nominated As Artist Of The Year In Americana Honors & Awards
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Congratulations to Yola, who has been nominated as Artist of the Year in the 2020 Americana Honors & Awards. She is also featured on the self-titled debut album from The Highwomen, which is up for Album, Song, and Duo/Group of the Year; that last category also includes a nod for Our Native Daughters, of which Rhiannon Giddens is a member. The Americana Music Association announced all the nominees today. Winners are due to be announced during the Americana Honors & Awards on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, depending on COVID-19 safety restrictions.

Yola released her debut album, Walk Through Fire, on Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound label and Nonesuch Records in 2019. She performed at the 2019 Americana Honors & Awards, at which she was up for Emerging Act of the Year and Album of the Year, and took home the UK Americana Awards for Artist and Album of the Year earlier this year. She was nominated for four Grammy Awards: Best New Artist, Best Americana Album, Best American Roots Performance, and Best American Roots Song.

The deluxe digital edition of Walk Through Fire, including Yola's cover of Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and a new song, "I Don't Wanna Lie," is available to download in the Top40-Charts.com Store, iTunes, and Amazon, and is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.
