New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lianne La Havas has released a new video for the song "Can't Fight" from her forthcoming self-titled album, due July 17 on Nonesuch in the US. In the video, the director Kevin Morosky captures the essence of who La Havas is in 2020. Created in collaboration between the director and the musician, it documents her cultural roots, influences, memories of love and loss, and daily passions, taking the viewer on a visual journey through the her beloved South London.
La Havas says, "I've finally made a video for 'Can't Fight' navigating the social distancing guidelines, and had a lot of fun doing so. Enjoy."

La Havas explains of "Can't Fight," which was co-written and produced by Mura Masa: "'Can't Fight' is that feeling of, you know it's not good, but you can't you can't not do it." She continues, "The melody really reminds me of what I was listening to when I was twelve years old, discovering tons of R&B, and I like the structure of it, how neat it is - rhythmic syllables with a rhythmic backing track. For me, it's also really fun guitar, and I think that's why it's ultimately still optimistic."

The British singer/songwriter/guitarist plays a one-off solo live show on Wednesday, July 15, at London's Roundhouse that will include new songs from Lianne La Havas and across her catalog. This very special, multi-camera, one-night-only performance will be broadcast via YouTube and timed to specific regions: July 15 at 8pm BST/9pm CEST (UK & Europe) and 9pm EST/6pm PST (North America); tickets are available here. La Havas will donate her proceeds from the concert to Black Lives Matters-related organizations.

Lianne La Havas is her first album since 2015's Grammy-nominated Blood, out July 17, 2020 on Nonesuch Records in the US. Previously released album tracks include "Can't Fight," "Paper Thin," "Bittersweet," and a cover of Radiohead's "Weird Fishes."
