LOS ANGELES (JetSpeed Records/ www.JetSpeedRecords.COM) -
Orange County band Thrill
Deluxe has just begun recording their new CD for Jetspeed Records Enterprises. The CD, simply titled Thrill Deluxe, was recorded at
Modern Man Productions by Chris Curtis and will be released in August 2005. The songs have an edge that is hard and heavy, with some soul thrown in.
In the same genre as P.O.D., Deftones, Blink 182, and with a vocal sometimes reminiscent of Bob Hite and Canned Heat, this CD lives up to all expectations. Hard tight music, slamming drums, and gritty vocals, draw you into their world of vanity, greed, jealousy, lust and love.
Thrill
Deluxe was formed in the spring of 2001 in Huntington Beach Ca. by Harlis Sweetwater - (singer/guitarist for the critically acclaimed Soul/R & B group Barrelhouse)and Larry Chronic Jr.- former bassist of another O.C./L.A. R&B outfit called Soul Candy. Expanding from their R&B roots, they set out to make music that had a more mainstream, hard and heavy edge, while maintaining the soulful and emotional quality that defined their previous bands sound.
After a succession of drummers, they completed Thrill Deluxe with fellow Orange County resident Joe Sykes, who was the backbone of the popular Alternative Hard Rock band Ten Mile Tongue. Being influenced by OZZY, Randy Rhoads, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, Muddy Waters, The Descendents, and of course The Sex Pistols, Thrill Deluxe draws from the past and present. They have created music that is compelling and raw, heavy and dynamic, intense and emotional. Their lyrics are honest, straight- forward and personal.
Thrill Deluxe sold out of the first 3 pressings of their debut album 'Life, Religion & Love.' And now with their new Jetspeed Records CD, "Thrill Deluxe", the rest of the world has the chance to see what all the buzz is about. You can check out the band at their New JetSpeed Records Home Website... www.JetSpeedRecords.COM and don't forget to see them in concert July 16th in Long Beach.
