New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Visionary DJ/producer Whethan has lured his longtime friend and collaborator Oliver Tree out of retirement for their latest electrifying new collaboration.

"Me and Oliver have been working together forever," Whethan shared. "We put out 'When I'm Down' 4 years ago and it was our first song that really blew up and got us both record deals. Here we are, years later, still working together and we're putting out our best song to date."
"I made this song before I retired," Oliver Tree explained, "there's a couple features that I have from pre-retirement that may or may not come out."

"Freefall" heralds Whethan's wildly anticipated debut album, FANTASY, due at long last this fall. The propulsive track marks the latest and perhaps greatest collaboration between the Chicago-based electronic artist and the one and only Oliver Tree, following five co-written/co-produced tracks featured on Tree's chart-topping debut album, Ugly is Beautiful. Among their united efforts is the provocative hit single, "Let Me Down," joined by an official companion video hailed by Billboard as "hilarious and super weird" upon its spring premiere.

"Freefall" continues an extraordinary run of electrifying new tracks from Whethan, including "Stay Forever (Feat. STRFKR)," "All In My Head (Feat. grandson)," "Upside Down (Feat. Grouplove)," and "Hurting On Purpose (Feat. K.Flay)." All four tracks are joined by colorful companion videos, streaming now at Whethan's official YouTube channel HERE and are featured on his forthcoming debut album FANTASY.

This flurry of new music has drawn widespread critical acclaim for Whethan, with LADYGUNN stating "he is on fire," EDM.COM adding "All signs point toward him eventually taking on a monster role within the industry" and Dancing Astronaut simply raving, "Few producers today have the courage or the skill to combine pop-rock with alternative trap and actually make it work… Whethan has lent real instrumental and organic authenticity to his music while maintaining the electronic foundation on which his career was built."

Alt Press hailed "he's not one to let genres hold him down and explores different styles of music to incorporate into his tracks." Earmilk echoed, "Turning his hand to a multitude of genres with masterful ease, Whethan's style is becoming less about the genre and more about the distinctive dance-inspired energy that remains ever present through his stellar back catalogue."

ABOUT WHETHAN
Whethan has quickly become one of electronic dance music's most in-demand artists, spanning superstar collaborations, blockbuster remixes, and his own extraordinary solo output. Born Ethan Snoreck, the 21-year-old, Chicago-based producer has unleashed a steady stream of viral smashes, making history in 2016 as the youngest ever artist on Australia's hugely influential Future Classics label while also winning over famous fans including EDM icon Skrillex.

2018 saw the long awaited release of Whethan's debut EP, LIFE OF A WALLFLOWER VOL. 1, which included collaborations with HONNE, Bipolar Sunshine, Oh Wonder, and Broods, among others, earned widespread critical applause, with Billboard raving, "The whole collection of songs plays perfectly into Whethan's pastel-colored sonic palette. It's soft as petals falling in the breeze, but just as bright and intoxicating as cherry blossom perfume. His super-clean production makes even rough-edged noise sound cute. Really, it's just freakin' fun."

As if that weren't enough, Whethan has released a range of remixes - including Travis Scott X Skrillex's "SICKOMODE (Whethan Turn)," Post Malone x Justin Bieber's "Deja Vu (Whethan Remix)," and the recently released rework of Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks (Whethan Remix)" - along with such major league partnerships as Whethan & Dua Lipa's "High" (featured on 2018's FIFTY SHADES FREED: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK), frequent collaborator Oliver Tree's "Movement" (featured in Apple's iPhone X commercial campaign), and Wafia's acclaimed "Hurts (Feat. Louis the Child + Whethan)."

In addition to his recorded work, Whethan has lit up crowds at countless clubs and top festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival, Outside Lands, SXSW, and Electric Daisy Carnival, as well as a sold out co-headline show at Morrison, CO's iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre and a headline performance at MTV's year-ending Snowglobe Music Festival in South Lake Tahoe, CA.

Dubbed by Billboard as "Alt-pop's merry prankster," Oliver Tree's debut album 'Ugly is Beautiful' has earned raves from HYPEBEAST ("...somewhere between a meme and creative polymath") Interview ("With Ugly is Beautiful...the Gen-Z jester has declared his arrival onto the internet's airwaves") and more. 'Ugly Is Beautiful' debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums Chart and Alternative Albums Chart, and in the Top 15 on the Billboard 200. As if that wasn't enough, he celebrated the release of 'Ugly Is Beautiful' by breaking the Guinness World Record for building (and crashing) the world's largest scooter and is on his way to becoming a fashion icon.

On 'Ugly is Beautiful,' Oliver Tree takes his millions of followers on an unpredictable roller coaster ride through a cracked world full of comic disaster. 'Ugly is Beautiful' then is the product of all of Oliver's otherworldly experiences distilled into fourteen songs - the promise of his EPs, 'Alien Boy' and 'Do You Feel Me?' fulfilled. As Rolling Stone stated, "Oliver Tree is outlandish, and it's working."
