NEW YORK (Atlantic Records) - Asylum/Trill recording artist Webbie hits stores next week with the release of his fervently anticipated new album, "SAVAGE LIFE." The Baton Rouge-based rapper's 18-track debut - which features the top 10 smash "Give Me That (Feat. Bun B.)" - lands coast to coast on July 5th.

"Give Me That (Feat. Bun B.)" is currently among the country's biggest hip-hop tracks. The single presently stands at No 8 with-a-bullet at Urban formats nationwide. In addition, the smoking-hot "Give Me That" is blowing up at CHR/Rhythmic, coming in this week at No 18 with-a-bullet.

The "Give Me That" companion video is scoring at various broadcast outlets. The clip is the No 3 video on BET, where it is currently in Heavy rotation. "Give Me That" is also a staple on the network's "Rap City." Webbie recently performed live on the pre-show festivities preceding the highly rated "BET Awards 05" show.

In addition, "Give Me That" is No 7 Most Played Video at MTV2, where it is a featured favorite on the network's "Hip Hop Countdown." The clip is also in Blazin' rotation on MTV Jams, and is among the most downloaded videos at MTV.com, MTV2.com, and mtvU. An exclusive full-length preview of "SAVAGE LIFE" is now streaming on MTV Jams' "The Leak."

On July 7th, Webbie will perform live at New Orleans' House of Blues, as Trill Entertainment hosts a record release party celebrating "SAVAGE LIFE."

In other news, Webbie is among the hot, young hip-hop stars featured on Grand Hustle/Atlantic's upcoming soundtrack to the film "Hustle & Flow" (due in stores on July 12th). The soundtrack's second single is a killer remix of Webbie's "Bad Chick," featuring hip-hop diva Trina. The track's companion video, directed by Dr. Teeth, is the subject of a "Makes A Video" episode on MTV2, and will make its "Unleashed" video premiere on July 5th. The "Bad Chick" remix is also included on "SAVAGE LIFE."

Last week, Webbie took part in a major concert event celebrating the "Hustle & Flow" film and its soundtrack. In addition to Webbie, the all-star show at Hollywood's House of Blues featured a number of the soundtrack's stars, including T.I. & P$C, Juvenile, Lil Jon, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Boyz N Da Hood, Lil Scrappy, and Trina.

Webbie has been among the hip-hop underground's most hotly tipped new stars for a number of years. At the age of 15, the Baton Rouge rapper caught the ear of local impresario Pimp C of UGK, who promptly signed him to his new Trill Entertainment label. Together with fellow Baton Rouge native Lil Boosie, the teenaged Webbie earned major street acclaim for the Trill releases "GHETTO STORIES" and "GANGSTA MUZIK."

In 2004, Webbie burst into the mainstream with a pair of explosive radio hits, "Bad Bitch" and "Gimme Dat." The rapper was soon the hottest unsigned commodity in the South, attracting the attention of numerous major record labels. Trill Entertainment eventually signed a label deal with Asylum, the independent "incubator" branch of Warner Music Group, leading to the national release of "SAVAGE LIFE."

"SAVAGE LIFE" sees Webbie continuing his successful partnership with Lil Boosie on a number of tracks. In addition, "SAVAGE LIFE" features guest shots from hip-hop diva Trina, UGK's Bun B., Cash Money's B.G., Big Head, and Mannie Fresh of Cash Money/Big Tymers fame.
