New York, NY (Top40 Charts) London-based singer-songwriter Margot releases her debut EP, Make It Last on the 9th of October via Pink Bikini Records. The EP, premiered via VENTS Magazine, is produced by Frank Slimm (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Maevis, Slowlines) and features Andy Bunting on bass as well as Jamie Chalmers on guitar. Margot has been featured by noteworthy publications such as Clash Magazine Spinnup, Essentially Pop, LeFutureWave and Girls Are Awesome. The songstress has spent the last few years writing and producing her first singles, playing her first shows and refining her craft both in the studio and on the stage.

Originally from Paris, France, lived in Berlin, Germany and now based in London, UK, Margot has been trained to play both the violin and the piano. When she was younger, the songstress was exposed to a wide variety of music from classical opera to Rage Against The Machine, however when seeking inspiration for her own work Margot turns to the likes of Erykah Badu, H.E.R., Raveena, Ari Lennox, Frank Ocean and Rihanna. With these vast influences, her own sound draws closer parallels to Dua Lipa, MØ, Alina Baraz and Little Dragon.

Make It Last takes a playful approach to music production as Margot embraces a light and fun attitude in the first two tracks and takes a slower, more distinctive approach in the latter two. Sometimes sultry, other times purely evocative, the songstress has managed to find numerous ways to display her wide range of vocals. The occasional sprinkling of French lyrics only further proves the depth of her talent.

Margot reveals a bit on the origins of the EP: "I was chatting to my producer and going over some of the material we had written and I realised that we had more than enough to do an EP and it just felt like the right time to put my name on something bigger than just a single. My good friend Andy Bunting played bass on three of the tracks, and our mutual friend Jamie Chalmers put guitar on the closing track as well. We recorded most of the tracks over lockdown so we had to do it all over email and sending guitar takes and vocal takes backwards and forwards, but it came out perfectly, and it was definitely a unique creative experience!"
