New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Vacances (ne Danny Lannon) is a project you may have been waiting to hear more from; assuming you were amongst the 1 million or so people who have been listening to the project since its last release in 2018. Born from the ashes of electro-indie band The Frail after its dissolution in 2015 by former singer Danny Lannon, Vacances stands at the forefront of danceable electronic indie music that takes its cues equally from 80s' new wave, indie rock and modern pop. Featuring notable collaborators from bands like of Montreal and Rubyhorse, Lannon released debut single Runaway in 2016 to critical acclaim and followed it with viral hits Never Give Up and "Callin" in 2018.

Berlin (3.26) is the most ambitious yet focused offering from the project to date, honing in on a new-wave-meets-indie sound and taking full advantage of Lannon's prodigious writing and singing ability. The song is awash with lush layers of synth and electronic samples punctuated by a nuanced but danceable beat, with a melody that will be pleasing to pop and new wave fans alike. Comparisons could be made to Depeche Mode, New Order, Passion Pit and Phoenix, with modern production that elevates the track into radio friendly territory while still sounding very much like an "indie" project.

"This song is about wanting what you can't have but being a self-sabotaging person that wants to destroy or break it before you ever get close to having it. explains Lannon. It's about lessons learned, growing, and becoming a more mature person. I was going through a process when I was learning who I wanted to be and where I wanted to go - while not letting past events get in the way of building as a person. In short, it's about growing up.

"Berlin" is the first in a series of new singles due out this spring and summer from Vacances. Stay tuned for an original video game, virtual tour announcements, merch drops and more!
