SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (First Avenue Entertainment/ www.Taliya.net) - First Avenue Entertainment Inc. presents - "TALIYA - in Concert." "The 15th Language Tour" opens on Sunday, September 18th, 2005, at the Brava Theater Center, San Francisco, CA.
Music has long been called the "Universal Language", and now in the wake of divided cultures, one performer's music has literally found a way to bridge the gap.

For the first time, Taliya will perform her award winning single "Flower Child" as a medley, as well as other songs, in several languages, with her 7 piece band, for a multicultural audience at "TALIYA - The 15th Language Concert." The event sponsored by "Metromint Pure. Simple. Mintwater" takes place on September 18th, 2005 at 4 pm at the Brava Theater Center, located at 2789 24th Street, San Francisco, CA.

Taliya's recording of "Flower Child" was recently awarded the "Guinness World Record - under the category of Song Sung in the Most Languages by the Same Vocalist." Performed in 15 languages, "Flower Child" can be experienced in: English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic, German, Dutch, Thai, Greek, Polish & Hindi.
For many performers, this long list of dialects would seem impossible to achieve, but for Taliya, it was a labor of love. A resident of San Francisco, she was born in Jerusalem and has lived in several countries, including England, Spain, Denmark, Germany and France. She is fluent in English and Hebrew, and she also speaks good Spanish, as well as a bit of Italian, French, Japanese, Arabic and Portuguese. For the additional seven languages on the album, she worked with scholars on translations and proper pronunciation. "TALIYA - The 15th Language" is a double album, which includes two CDs. CD1 features Taliya's single "Flower Child." CD2 features a collection of various songs in different languages, which send a message of overcoming geographical boundaries and promoting unity. Taliya adds, "I believe that through music, artists have a social responsibility to promote cultural diversity and contribute to a lasting understanding and tolerance between individuals as well as provide messages of hope and peace."

Taliya is available for stories, phone and special interviews, in-studio interviews, and live on air appearances, including performing a medley of the award winning song "Flower Child" in 15 Languages.
10% of all ticket sale proceeds from the opening concert will be donated to the Foreign Languages Scholarship Fund at the San Francisco State University Foundation.
