Never Give Up Anthem To Inspire England At Euros And Raise Money For Fareshare
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) London-based Indie rock and roll band Princes Of Maine have added to the excitement building around England's tilt at the European Championships this summer with their English football anthem - Never Give Up - aiming to inspire the team to glory and raise money for FareShare. The track will be available from the 1st June on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon music and all of profits will be donated to FareShare for the duration of Euro 2020. FareShare is the charity supported by Marcus Rashford.
The band has set up a JustGiving page for the campaign so for further information or to show your support, visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/princes-of-maine.

Written by the band's lead singer and guitarist Oliver Cotton, the lyrics hold more significance and gravitas than the usual football songs with the death of his mother, the COVID-19 pandemic and the repulsive racism in football, all heavily on his mind while writing the track.

Oliver Cotton said: "First and foremost, this song is about supporting the England team, getting the nation behind them and bringing the trophy home but it's also about equality and diversity, not just in football but in life. Everyone is up against all kinds of challenges every day in life so it's also a message about continuing the fight and getting back up, time and time again."

On supporting the FareShare charity, Oliver said: "My mum was a much loved and incredibly inspirational teacher and if she was here this past year, she would have been right behind Marcus Rashford and the FareShare charity. Hopefully through the song and some sales, we make her proud and do some good."

The video for the track is set to launch on the 7th June and gigs are planned with Oliver's dad Tony set to appear, after learning to play the guitar in the last two years.

Tony, who has just finished treatment for prostate cancer, said: "2019 was a horrendous year for our family losing Sue and many around the world have been in a similar situation in 2020. I'm so proud of Oliver and the band for this song, the message and the fundraising. He's inspired me to never give up and hopefully the song will inspire others and the England team at the Euros. While my guitar is coming along and I won't give up, I'm not sure I'm at their level to play at a gig but maybe I will do a Bez with a tambourine."

Princes Of Maine are an indie rock and roll band that were formed in 2013 and have played over 100 gigs across the country. Aiming to make a difference through music, the band have previously raised money for Mind charity.
The band currently consists of Oliver Cotton, Liam Williams and James Firth. The band members all follow different football teams, Liam being from Merseyside is a mad Liverpool fan and Oliver and James have season tickets at Arsenal and West Ham respectively. The love for football and the England national team inspired the making of Never Give Up as a chance to bring some cheer after a tough last 12 months.
