New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, one day after his 19th birthday, rapper/singer/songwriter/producer KOAD unleashes his newest single "on some bullshit." Co-produced with HOLLY (A$AP Rocky, Bauuer, Zhu) and mixed by Alex Tumay (Young Thug, Travis Scott, Kanye West), the surprise track is a gift for KOAD fans. An ode to Lil Wayne's classic mixtape era, "on some bullshit" features raspy auto-tune overlaying a bouncy, 808-filled instrumental. Meanwhile, punchy verses showcase KOAD's deft lyricism.

Alongside the single, KOAD reveals the new music video for "on some bullshit," directed by longtime collaborator and fellow South Asian creative Ijaaz Noohu. In this visceral visual tale, KOAD comes face to face with his inner child; dancing together in KOAD's treehouse and getting bloody as they fight for the camera's attention and wrestle their way through a suburban neighborhood. Styled in throwback hometown Lakers gear, KOAD embodies the role of Magic Johnson, while his 10-year-old "mini-me" flaunts a comically oversized Shaquille O'Neal jersey and pursues Magic with a childlike innocence and curiosity that has yet to collide with the real world. "on some bullshit" is the first proper introduction of KOAD's treehouse, which was designed and built himself in his parents' backyard and serves as his creative haven.

"on some bullshit" follows "jaunty," KOAD's latest "powerhouse track" (AltPress). An all-out celebration of his Indian heritage, the genre-defying track was born from a rock sample by singer/songwriter James Talley and layered with Indian tablas and Gen-Z flair. Watch the "zero to Brown'' music video featuring KOAD's unique take on the traditional kurta and bhangra dance here.

PRAISE FOR KOAD:
"this hip-hop rock star on the rise will be dominating your playlists' - AltPress
"KOAD Emanates Creative Energy" - Ones To Watch
"An energetic and playful new rapper and producer" - 1883 Magazine

Since dropping out of high school at 15, the Indian-American rapper, singer, producer, and songwriter KOAD has been building worlds and creating bombastic, genre-defying music out of his parents' garage. Alongside his own global artist community (KOGO), KOAD is leading a creative renaissance for a new generation of Indian-American creatives. With his first single "pots n' pans'' garnering early co-signs from Merlyn (Brockhampton), Raveena and Curtis Waters, fans have been patiently anticipating subsequent sonic follow ups as they dive deeper into the world of KOAD.
