New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In April 2020 The Korgis didn't just decide to write their first album in 30 years - they knew they had to!
The 1980 worldwide hit 'Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime' was about the need to 'Change Your Heart' and the reason this song gets close to 1/2 a million streams on Spotify every month is that people still identify with this need.
'Kartoon World' - it's a concept album, man!
The whole work runs seamlessly - or sometimes crashes violently - from one track into the next... much as time itself lurches us from euphoric highs, to new lows.
The new album by The Korgis is an epic body of music seamlessly spanning a 50 year period. It begins in 1980 and ends in 2030 with a blinding realization.

The world is headed for a colossal fall, and the power of Love - not technology - would be the one undisputable answer! Journey with us, from the past to the future, and see how we narrowly escape the demise of the human race - or certainly the human race as we know it!
With the release of Kartoon World comes a pledge. That pledge begins and ends with Love. It is what the world needs Now!
Well isn't it about time we had something more than the same pop song churned out by a built-in-obsolescence X-factor contestant?

Their new single 'The Best Thing You Can Do is to Love Someone' is their most important single to date. It has a similar message, but made for the divisive times we live in.

The Korgis see this song as bigger than any one artist so we invited two icons who had created two very different versions of their original hit.

The first is Nigerian born Seye Adelekan. Seye has been bass player with Gorillaz for a decade and is THE go to British session player. His credits include Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, Birdy, KT Tunstall, Ollie Murs, Baba Maal, Mumford & Sons and many more.

The second is Parisian born diva Laura Prince. Her sultry mix of R&B, Blues and Jazz sounds as though Billie Holiday, Mary J Blige and Chrissie Hynde had somehow come together in one perfect soul. Her latest single 'In Your Eyes' racked up 100,000 views on YouTube within a week. Paris also happens to be The Korgis No 1 selling city in the world.
