New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This week, Sylvan Esso make their return to live performance with the start of the Shaking Out The Numb Tour, and a brand new video captures the mix of emotions and meticulous preparation that has preceded their most mesmerizing stage production to date. Out today, the visual for Teddy Geiger's reimagining of "Numb" travels from the band's own Betty's recording studio outside of Durham, NC, to a soundcheck in Tennessee, where they were set to host Bonnaroo's storied Superjam this past Saturday. Consequence of Sound named Sylvan Esso one of the most essential acts to catch on tour this fall, and the scenes in "Numb" - produced and directed by the Carrboro, NC-based team of Leslie Raymond and Marc Levy - preview the excitement fans can expect as Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn debut songs from Free Love, one of the past year's "most resonant, warm, necessary albums" (Entertainment Weekly).

Over the weekend, Sylvan Esso kicked off Shaking Out The Numb alongside their 10-piece WITH band, Brittany Howard and Phoebe Bridgers at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater, for a special show they rallied to present in the wake of Bonnaroo's cancellation. Find all 30 of Sylvan Esso's upcoming tour dates HERE and below, including the Greek Theatre in LA this Friday, September 10th, as well as Firefly Festival, two nights at NYC's Terminal 5 and more.
"One of things that really sticks out from filming with Amelia and Nick is how Sylvan Esso is really this tight-knit family of artists and technicians who come together and share their time and energy to make something so special," says director Marc Levy and producer Leslie Raymond. "Everything is personal and considered for them. And while we were filming with them, they completely welcomed us into their family, which was heartwarming and is something for which we are grateful."

A standout from Free Love, the previous video for "Numb" brought Amelia Meath's directorial debut, and on the heels of the album the band has continued to spearhead a creative streak amidst a growing microcosm of collaborators. In addition to sharing new material with the likes of Teddy Geiger, Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper and their all-star WITH ensemble, Sylvan Esso have opened their next chapter at the forefront of an ever-expanding musical community.

Last month, Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn announced the launch of Psychic Hotline, their own artist-run, Durham-based record label, built to offer accessibility and radical support to the music, visions and new releases of friends like Anjimile, Bartees Strange, Blake Mills, Flock of Dimes, Mountain Man, Sam Gendel, The Tallest Man on Earth, The Dead Tongues and many others. Read more in their interview with Billboard.

Listen to Amelia Meath and Blake Mills' inaugural Psychic Hotline Single, "Neon Blue," which has earned praise from the New York Times, NPR Music, The FADER, PAPER and Pitchfork, who call the song "a scene of twilit intrigue out of an Edward Hopper painting."

Ahead of their Shaking Out The Numb Tour, Sylvan Esso have also unveiled a new concert film, an experimental podcast, performances for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, CBS This Morning: Saturday, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and NPR's Tiny Desk (Home) Concerts, while surpassing a career milestone of half a billion streams.
