NEW YORK (AP) - Elton John is keeping busy all the way through the middle of 2002. The singer has announced the dates for his Australian and European tours, which will follow the shows with Billy Joel on their Face to Face Tour.

John's dates overseas start on April 17 in Adelaide, the first of eight shows in Australia. After that, it's off to Europe on May 28, kicking things off in Paris and wrapping up in Frankfurt, Germany, on June 10.

Meanwhile, John has tapped 'NSync's Justin Timberlake to appear in the piano man's next video for "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore" from Songs from the West Coast. According to a source, Timberlake will be in prosthetic makeup to look like John and be completely unrecognizable as himself -- in the video. This follows the clip for "I Want Love," which featured Robert Downey Jr. singing John's parts.

Previously announced Elton John/Billy Joel dates:

Jan. 13 & 18, MCI Center, Washington, D.C.
Jan. 22 & 24, Fleet Center, Boston
Feb. 4 & 6, Civic Center, Hartford, Conn.
Feb. 13, 15, & 17, First Union Center, Philadelphia
