WHO: The Pacific Northwest Chapter (PNW) of The Recording Academy is proud to announce its Recording Academy Honors 2005, honoring music advocate Kate Becker , seminal garage band the Kingsmen, world-renowned jazz musician and educator Julian Priester, and legendary record label Sub Pop Records. The gala event will be emceed by Dave Dederer of the Presidents Of The United States of America. The Kingsmen, Julian Priester, Smoosh, and Kinski all will perform, and Pat O'Day, Gary "Gorillaman" Davis and Herbie Hancock will serve as the evening's award presenters. WHAT:
The Recording Academy Honors is the highest honor bestowed by a Chapter and acknowledges those whose outstanding achievements and contributions have significantly enriched the Northwest music community and the community at large.

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, 5:30 – 10:30 p.m.

WHERE: The Westin Hotel - Grand Ballroom 1900 5th Avenue, Seattle, Wash., 98101

TICKETS: Individual tickets are $95 each for Recording Academy members or $150 for non-members and can be purchased through the PNW Chapter office at 206.834.1000 or [email protected]. In addition, a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $250 (members only), which includes access to the VIP reception and preferred seating at the event.
