Tai Verdes To Jump Into Roblox Metaverse As His Avatar Self Later This Week To Perform The First Virtual Concert!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Chart-topping pop star, Tai Verdes, and Roblox (NYSE: RBLX), a global platform bringing millions of people together through shared experiences, today announced a first of its kind virtual experience, which will premiere this Saturday, November 13 beginning at 11 a.m. PT exclusively on the Roblox platform. Verdes will perform his just-released new single, "Let's go to Hell" in addition to several other top hits as part of a four-song concert set on Roblox.

The Tai Verdes Concert Experience was developed by Roblox studio, MELON, a mainstay developer on the platform responsible for multiple launch parties including Ava Max, Why Don't We, Zara Larsson, and KSI. Unlike previous Roblox launch party venues where artists appeared on a video screen, Verdes will appear in his avatar form and perform from his Venice Beach-inspired boardwalk on Roblox. The exclusive space, which is open today, features the latest technological advancements available to developers and will showcase a live Q&A with Verdes after the first concert performance on Saturday morning.

"Tai Verdes is at the top of his game right now and we are thrilled he's performing his new single on Roblox," said Jon Vlassopulos, Vice President and Global Head of Music for Roblox. "Roblox has always been about empowering our developer community to build next generation experiences on the platform for the global community to enjoy."
"We thrive on artists' creativity and it inspires us to push the boundaries of what our proprietary technology and avatars can do," said MELON CEO Devon Thome.

Leading music partnerships, MELON President Josh Neuman remarked: "We're thrilled to partner with Roblox to help shape this new medium and re-imagine what music experiences can be."

Watching The Tai Verdes Virtual Concert
The Tai Verdes concert venue is now open and Roblox users and Tai Verdes fans can jump in beginning today to explore the space, connect with friends, and get ready for the concert premiere on Saturday, November 13 at 11 a.m. PT. The show will repeat each hour through Sunday, November 14, at 11 p.m. PT. Full concert details can also be found on the Tai Verdes event page.

Roblox continues to give people an immersive way to discover and share music together with friends. For artists and labels, Roblox provides a unique and creative way to engage and attract millions of fans and monetize brands with virtual merchandise and VIP experiences all in the metaverse. The range of music experiences on Roblox, from persistent spaces and point-in-time events, listening parties and launch parties, virtual concerts and now virtual festivals are now table stakes for artists who want to promote their music and reach new fans.

Three months into the COVID-19 pandemic, Tai Verdes was an essential worker with a 9-to-5 job at a Los Angeles Verizon Wireless store. Now with his debut album TV, he has a #3 Billboard Heatseekers album and #5 Spotify debut album, as well as one of the biggest viral hits in the US, "Stuck In The Middle," hailed by The New York Times as one of the "Best Songs of 2020."
After posting a series of TikTok videos, Tai's breakout single "Stuck In The Middle" took flight hitting #1 on Spotify's US viral chart and has since amassed more than 120 million streams and over 3.5 million TikTok creations, being viewed over 3 billion times since the song's release in late May 2020.
Tai's latest single "A-O-K" is following a similar path, having amassed more than 300 million streams, 1.3 million TikTok creations, and earning him #1 on Billboard's Emerging Artist Chart. The song continues to climb the charts, currently at #12 at Top 40 Pop Radio, and #34 on the Billboard Hot 100. Tai has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The TODAY Show, and garnered praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, MTV, NYLON, Genius, Complex, VMAN, Lyrical Lemonade, Variety, Stereogum, and more.
The 25-year-old may have won the TikTok lottery, but he's playing the long game. And he's playing for keeps. "I'm gonna be a problem," says the 6'7" singer with a smile, who carries himself with as much charisma as stature. "I love everything that's happening. But this is not a one song thing, this is a 10-album thing."
