New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Jeanick Fournier, the winner of the most recent season of Canada's Got Talent, announces her upcoming self-titled major label debut album, Jeanick Fournier, releasing on October 7. The announcement was made alongside the release of a stunning cover of Céline Dion's "I Surrender," which Jeanick performed during her live audition on CGT and earned her the Golden Buzzer by host Lindsay Ell.

Winning over hearts across the nation with her goosebumps-inducing vocals, singer, mother, and palliative care beneficiary Jeanick Fournier went on to win the second season of Canada's Got Talent with riveting performances of "Never Enough" from the film The Greatest Showman, as well as Queen's "The Show Must Go On". Jeanick inked a deal with Universal Music shortly after winning the competition and today, she revisits the moment that earned her the Golden Buzzer with the official release of "I Surrender".

The brilliant new ballad showcases the power of Jeanick's voice as the first track to release from her upcoming album, Jeanick Fournier. "This song has been a favourite of mine since the very first time I heard it," says Jeanick about "I Surrender". "It made me want to surpass myself and the lyrics touched me. Performing this song on Canada's Got Talent was an obvious decision for me; I've been singing it for a long time so I knew that even though I was extremely nervous and emotional, I would manage to sing it. When the time came, I said to myself that I was going to sing my life and give it my all, sing with my heart, my guts, to offer a better life to my children."

"This song also reminds me of one of my favourite memories from the show when Lindsay Ell came to join me on stage," she continues. "At first, I thought she was coming to comfort me, and I was surprised to see her come down the stairs, take the microphone, and… phew, I knew that was it! The Golden Buzzer!!! When I say this, I still cry with joy. I am filled with gratitude." - Jeanick Fournier

Jeanick Fournier is a singer, mother, and palliative care beneficiary attendant from Dolbeau, Lac St-Jean. She learned English by watching her favourite singers - Céline Dion, Whitney Houston, Lara Fabien, and Barbara Streisand - and emulating their breathing, pronunciation, and way of speaking in interviews. For 15 years, Fournier performed and sang in a duet tribute group for Céline Dion, and sings everyday - either to her kids, her patients, or with other artists in the studio. She won the second season of Canada's Got Talent in May 2022.
