New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Distant Soundz is one of the aliases of British dance artist, Mark Shrimpton.
Shrimpton has released various singles on vinyl and CD under the name.

Distant Soundz released several singles in the UK England before scoring a Top 20 hit with a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time".
Highly respected in the scene for their melodic, feel good style they broke into the mainstream with the anthem 'Time after Time', which ended up being the one of biggest breakthrough UK Garage releases of 2002.

Following on from this they released their vocal UK Garage anthem 'Runaway' which is now widely regarded as club classic.
Runaway Original and Urban Legendz mixes were championed by the legendary DJ EZ on his Kiss 100 show. Whilst the Stella Browne remix became an Ibiza anthem with big name support from the likes of Sasha, it was also featured on the now iconic Ministry of Sound - The Annual compilation series.
This new version of Capital radio's favourite RUNAWAY is now available on all digital platforms Via DeeVu Records.
