After purchasing 125 tickets for the 2007 World Tour, she won approximately €160,000 (around €134,000). She used her earnings to fund the construction of a school in Malawi, where she eventually moved to adopt her children.
Madonna's grandparents are from Italy, so she plays the Italian lottery known as SuperEnaLotto. Due to the obvious lack of a centralized system for the sale of lottery tickets in the United States, she has to play the lottery online and rely on messengers to buy and deliver her tickets.
