MICHIGAN, IL. (www.charitymusic.org/) - Michigan based Charity Music, Inc. has appointed
Roger A. Fachini as President/CEO. "Mr. Fachini's extensive business, and community service background made him the ideal candidate to head up our Musical Instrument and Concert Ticket Donation Programs," stated
Director Dennis Lietz.
Charity Music Inc. based in Sterling Heights Michigan, provides Musical Instruments on loan, at no charge, to individuals wishing to explore their hidden Musical talents.
In February 2006, a unique Musical Instrument Donation drive entitled "Notes of Appreciation" is being conducted throughout Michigan to benefit the spouse and dependants of those currently serving on active duty in our Military, with similar drives scheduled for various states throughout the year.
"It is indeed an honor and privilege to be involved on the ground floor of this innovative and worthwhile effort" stated Fachini.
The Musical Instrument Donation Program was first implemented in 1995 as a fund raiser for the Macomb Symphony Orchestra located in Clinton Township Michigan, and has since evolved into Charity Music, Inc., with volunteers currently in over 25 States, and planned expansion calling for (50)volunteer chapters throughout the United States in 2006.
Charity Music, Inc. has no paid employees, and is a 100% volunteer run organization. In addition, it does not sale any of the donated musical instruments.
Instruments are repaired as needed and included in the instrument loan program.
Donated Vintage instruments are restored and used in the International Collectibles Exhibit (aka ICE). The exhibit is made available at no charge to organizations wishing to display the vintage instrument collection to the general public at no charge, as a community service.
Operating expenses are covered by the sale of donated concert and sporting event tickets, with most donations coming from season ticket holders. Income is also generated from the sale of donated collectible items in the Charity Music, Inc. eBay store, which at present is selling a Mercedes Benz automobile with an INXS license plate for around $38,000.00.
In addition to music books and sheet music, the organization is always in need of any and all donated musical instruments, regardless of age or condition.
"Volunteers are an Instrumental part of our program, and the Key to our future," added Fachini.
