Sydney, AU (EMI MUSIC AUSTRALIA) - 2005 couldn't have been a bigger year for Kisschasy. From touring, recording, touring, releasing album, touring, touring, touring and touring the band worked non stop for 12 months, but it wasn't without its rewards.

The boys scored an ARIA Top No 15 debut album, 2 Top 50 singles, 2 ARIA nominations and made the Final 4 for the Channel [V] Oz Artist Of The Year, and that was just a small fraction of what the band achieved.

If you add to that critical praise for their album 'United Paper People' (10/10 - Blunt, 3/5 - Rolling Stone), a sold out national headline tour and the band playing in front of the biggest crowds of their careers with Simple Plan and also supporting other rock acts like The Dandy Warhols and Shihad.

You know what though? We could literally go on and on and at the same time we could literally bore the pants off you, so basically: Kisschasy had an amazing year, they are stoked, we are stoked, everyone is fucking stoked right.

But how can they possibly top 2005 you ask? Easy. Kisschasy are about to try their most ambitious venture next with the announcement of the third single lifted from 'United Paper People' titled 'The Shake'. For those of you not familiar with the album or the track, 'The Shake' is an acoustic song driven through 3 lone instruments: An acoustic guitar, a piano and a fragile voice. As a bonus they recorded 2 brand new songs as b-sides, again acoustically.

"All of the songs that I have ever written start from an acoustic guitar and me sitting in my bedroom. So I thought as we were releasing an acoustic single it would be more organic to make it like an all acoustic EP, so in between tours I wrote an extra 2 songs specifically for this," explains lead singer and songwriter Darren Cordeux.

What's so ambitious about that you ask? Well, a young band more known for its indie pop rock leanings releasing an all acoustic EP/single and then taking it to the road on an unplugged tour.

Yep, Kisschasy are doing an all acoustic tour. All four band members will be there playing on stage, but the songs will be reworked to suit a more intimate & laidback setting. The tour titled 'Shaken & Unplugged' runs from the middle of February to early March and will be Kisschasy's last bunch of Australian shows before heading to Japan and the US.

In Japan, United Paper People is already instores and the first single 'Do-Do's & Whoa-oh's' is currently on rotation on MTV Japan, whilst in the US the band will be heading over for the SXSW Music Festival in Texas

But now back to 'The Shake' and what is most likely to get people talking: The Video. The video shot for 'The Shake' was the first video that Kisschasy have shot where the band have come up with the entire treatment themselves, the clip is more like a short Wes Anderson film than a music video. Shot on a hot summers day, the video portrays the apathy of mundane suburbia and leaves you with both an eerie and quirky feeling that something just isn't right.

And as we like to do in Kisschasy land, we are once again treating the fans with something special. There's going to be a limited edition pressing of 'The Shake' single which will come with a bonus band DVD documentary featuring the band recording 'United Paper People' in Sydney, mixing in Seattle, laying shows and hanging out in the US plus behind the scenes of the band's first two music videos.

'The Shake EP' is in stores on February 25th
