SEATTLE, (thekellergroup.com) - The Russian National Orchestra (RNO) celebrated its 15th Anniversary last night at New York's St. Regis hotel, honoring Seattle philanthropist and software developer Charles Simonyi. Honorary Chairmen Sophia Loren and Martha Stewart were on hand for the special night to present Simonyi with the RNO's Silver Baton award for his pioneering work in technology and for his patronage of the arts and his long-time support of the RNO.

Four musical performances - including a musical tribute to Simonyi - were performed for the nearly 200 guests in attendance, raising more than $540,000 for the Orchestra. Susan Hutchison, Executive Director of the Charles Simonyi Fund for Arts and Sciences was the evening's Mistress of Ceremonies, and announced that over $540,000 was raised for the RNO's Music Fund.
