Nashville, TN (littlebigtown.com) - Just days after Little Big Town garnered two Academy of Country Music Award Nominations (for Top New Vocal Group and Top Duo or Vocal Group) comes the announcement that their album, The Road To Here, has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, signifying sales in excess of 500,000 units. The announcement was made today by Mike Kraski, President of Equity Music Group.

'We couldn't possibly be more proud of Little Big Town,' said Kraski. 'These four extraordinarily gifted artists have worked so hard for so long, and proven that perseverance and determination definitely pays off. And this is just the beginning. We can't wait to celebrate with them.'

Little Big Town has experienced an incredible past six months. In addition to the set of nods from the ACM, the band also saw their 'Boondocks' single reach the Top 10 and achieve an RIAA Gold Certification for digital sales in excess of 100,000. The video for 'Boondocks' hit No 1 on the CMT Top 20 Countdown. Their new single, 'Bring It On Home,' is already in the Top 40 of the Country Singles Charts, and its video has already cracked the CMT Top 20. In the latter months of 2005 they opened for country superstar Keith Urban, and this Spring they have been invited to open John Mellencamp's tour.
