LOS ANGELES (Rainmaker Public Relations) - The Fabulous Rudies have an infectious energy reminiscent of the best of 1980s ska but with a modernized feel. 'This is a hit!' said Mighty Mighty Bosstones frontman Dicky Barrett when the band's debut self-titled album debuted on Los Angeles radio. The Fabulous Rudies have a true ensemble cast, including enchanting vocals from Cassandra Anderson and hyperactive lyrics from Tom Voris. They have a mean horn section with soulful sax from Aaron Hudson and swinging trombone from Don Carter. The instrumental meat is delivered by guitarist Mark Booth and energetic keyboards from Milton Fletcher, while the rhythmic backbone is provided by the impeccable drum work of Mann Frazier and the pulsing bass of Joe Hagins. Outside the band's eight permanent members, the album features an impressive array of guest talent, including former Gin Blossoms guitarist Jesse Valenzuela and former Porno for Pyros singer Tony DiStephano. The album was produced by Sebastian Robertson, son of the famous Robbie Robertson (the Band, Bob Dylan), whose ear for talent recently earned him a mention in Rolling Stone. With an ensemble cast and a huge presence, The Fabulous Rudies are a force that will be difficult to ignore. Need more proof?
