Wayne, PA (Mike Hobson/ www.mickeystar.com) - The songbook of the American songwriter, Mike Hobson, was released online (www.mickeystar.com) this month amid critical speculation that this epic 32 song 4 CD work entitled 'The Autobiography of Mick Star' may very well represents one of the last great original works from the generation that defined the term 'Pop Culture'. 'The Autobiography of Mick Star' was originally posted online as a resource of sure fire Pop music hits for Pop performers and their agents, attorneys and managers. The songs, written and performed by Mike Hobson and arranged and produced by Joe Stout of Digital Dog Studios (Philadelphia, PA), are presented in Rock, C&W, Alt. Folk, Gospel, R&B and Novelty Pop Song format. But as more and more people visit www.mickeystar.com and review the collection of mp3 files, 'The Autobiography of Mick Star' plays more like a series of short stories. These one hit wonders, the 32 songs of 'The Autobiography of Mick Star' somehow go beyond the genres they mimic to tell the story of a generation. 'It's funny how massive projects like The Autobiography of Mick Star' take a life of their own,' said Mike Hobson. 'I am a songwriter and the 32 songs in this work and another 20 or so that I haven't yet recorded are a journal of sorts. Each song can stand alone and tell a story or capture a mood on its own not unlike many of the great songs of the last 30 years. But taken together, all of my songs can be chronologically fit together like pieces of an abstract puzzle and can be viewed as a storyline of my generation, the Baby Boomers.' 'The Autobiography of Mick Star' is modestly posted with little online fanfare at www.mickeystar.com. All of the songs can be sampled in their entirety and can be downloaded for $1 per song. Mike Hobson is working with Pop performers to record and release their own versions of songs from 'The Autobiography of Mick Star' and is also consulting on a script for the film version of 'The Autobiography of Mick Star' currently under consideration.
