Brentwood, TN (EMI/CMG Publishing) - Critically acclaimed CCM artist Katie Giguere recently signed her first major publishing agreement with EMI/CMG for her touching original song 'I'll Find You'. The song, co-written with Bonita Mitchell and Katie's father, Marc, was penned as a tribute to Katie's grandfather, Norm Giguere. The hit single received record-breaking listener response at radio last year.
Charmel Jacobs of WGSL in Rockford, IL stated, 'This song has generated more listener calls than any song by any arist in the last two years, God is using it so wonderfully'.
Giguere says 'I am so thrilled and honored that EMI sees the potential in this song and has chosen to add it to their incredible catalog of music. 'I'll Find You' is very special to my family and me because it was created to honor my grandfather after he passed away a few years ago. So many people have written about how this song has touched their lives, and I know that with EMI's help, even more people will have the chance to hear it, and hopefully be blessed.'
Jeremy Ash, Manager, Creative/A&R for EMI/CMG Publishing, first heard Giguere's song in January while listening Katie's debut CD, 'Bringin' Me Hope'. He learned about Katie from her No 22 radio hit "Just By Your Mercy".
'Katie's voice and songwriting ability is sure to make a positive impact in music and in the hearts of many people. The song 'I'll Find You' immediately moved me both emotionally and musically. I am excited about what the future holds for Katie and her songs', comments Ash.
Since her buzz-generating debut during GMA week 2004, Giguere has garnered critical acclaim and continues to build career momentum with her recent Inspo radio hit 'Just By Your Mercy,' two new projects releasing in Spring 2006, and her autobiography 'Being the Fat Girl'. Her debut, 'Bringin' Me Hope' CD was chosen by Christian Music Monthly as No 2 in their Top Ten for 2005.
