Tucson, AZ (GLAMMEDIA) - Gary Basile, veteran Tour Manager for some of music's most prolific bands, passed away in his sleep April 4, 2006 in Tucson, Arizona. Born in Hartford, CT, on August 23rd, 1954, Basile was 52.

Known for his work with No Doubt, Prince, The Cult, Edwin McCain, Night Ranger, Hootie and the Blowfish, Ted Nugent, Bush, Little River Band and many, many others, Basile's incredible spirit and knowledge kept the tour bus feeling more like a home than just a bus.

Between tours, Basile had become adept at his other favorite activity, building award-winning hot rods. Basile is survived by his father, Canino Basile, his brother, Donald J. Basile, his niece, Tina Milanesi, and his Nephew, Richard Canino Basile. A memorial service is being planned.
