LOS ANGELES (Townstyle Records) - Lucky Boys Confusion get set to release the How To Get Out Alive (EP) June 20tth, 2006 on their own Townstyle Records imprint in conjunction with Reincarnate (Sony/BMG). The EP is the first official release of new music from the band since they released their second major label album Commitment on the now defunct Elektra Records. Commitment featured the hit single " Hey Driver" which not only garnered national radio play on the modern rock and pop formats, but also was featured in various movies and video games, and had the band performing live on national TV's The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. Despite the demise of Elektra, the Chicago natives continued the DIY ethic of touring for months on end over the last two years, headlining clubs across the U.S. During breaks, Lucky Boys Confusion wrote new songs including "The Struggle (Getting Out Alive)" and "Cigarettes", which will appear on the new EP ...Get Out Alive. Lucky Boys Confusion will celebrate the release of the new EP with a Five Night Stand, small club performance in their hometown of Chicago June 20 - June 24 at the Beat Kitchen. Each night will feature something different musically spanning the band's career. Tickets for these shows are now on sale. The band will follow these shows with two acoustic instore performances and signings, one Borders in Champaign IL on Sunday, June 25, and the second at Tower Records in Bloomingdale IL on Tuesday, June 27. Lucky Boys Confusion then hit the road on a nationwide tour supporting Jive recording artists Bowling for Soup June 28th through August 29th. Look for Lucky Boys Confusion to headline this fall before heading back into the studio to finish their next full-length album with a release date for Spring 2007.
