LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Hot off his simultaneous Best Director Oscar win for "Traffic" and nomination for "Erin Brockovich," Steven Soderbergh is returning to his roots, directing an untitled project for Miramax Films billed as a sequel to his 1989 debut feature "sex, lies and videotape." Scott Kramer, who produced Soderbergh's 1999 feature "The Limey," will produce the untitled project, slated to go before cameras in November. No cast has been set. "Sex," which Soderbergh also wrote, put the helmer on Hollywood's map when it won the Palme d'Or at 1989's Cannes International Film Festival, the audience award at the Sundance Film Festival and earned Soderbergh a screenplay Academy Award nomination in 1990. The film starred James Spader, Andie MacDowell, Peter Gallagher and Laura San Giacomo.
