(Launch) - U2 has gone before the cameras, but some fans are none too happy about it. The band's June 6 show at Boston's FleetCenter - part of which was featured at halftime of the first game of the NBA championship series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers - was filmed, presumably for home-video release. However, the camera crew handpicked the best looking people from the ticket-holder's line to let inside U2's heart-shaped stage, reports the Boston Herald. The paper quoted some audience members who felt that the group's general-admission policy had been compromised, and the article blamed HBO for the actions. A spokesperson for the cable network, however, denies any involvement in the show or with U2, and it seems the band's management hired the unit. A representative of U2's record company was unsure of exactly what happened in Boston, but told us that the label had not hired the film team. There's no word on when the footage might be released, or in what form.
