LOS ANGELES (By Myleik Teele/ BWR Public Relations) - 'Dark Blue,' the latest video to be released by Jack's Mannequin, will premiere on Yahoo! on September 7th. Jack's Mannequin is the side project of Andrew McMahon, the ethereal voice, songwriting powerhouse and full-contact keyboardist behind Something Corporate. The video is set in the 1950's and has a dance marathon theme made popular by the film They Shoot Horses, Don't They?,. "Dark Blue" was filmed at sunny Venice Beach in Southern California by director Brett Simon (The Killers, New Found Glory, Gavin DeGraw) and features a cameo appearance by Tommy Lee. 'I feel like we really shot something beautiful and special, and I love that there is a little more to it than your average video,' stated McMahon. 'Dark Blue' is the second single from the highly personal themed album Everything In Transit, released in August 2005 on Maverick Records. 'The Mixed Tape' video soared to No 1 on VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown. Currently on the 19-city 'Tour For The Cure' to benefit The Dear Jack Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by McMahon to fund cancer research, Jack's Mannequin will join Panic! At The Disco and Bloc Party on tour in November. Maverick Records was founded in 1997 by Madonna and is led by Chairman Guy Oseary. Maverick is home to multi-platinum artists such as Alanis Morissette, Michelle Branch, Deftones & Story of the Year. For more information, go to: www.maverick.com.
