 London, UK (V2 Music) - To celebrate the 30th birthday of Rough Trade, the shop is releasing a very special double album compilation stuffed full of the best music to cross the shop's counter in that time. The album's tracks have been hand-picked by some of it's most famous and respected patrons over the past 3 decades including Jarvis Cocker, Daniel Miller (Mute Records), Laurence Bell (Domino Records), Geoff Travis (Rough Trade) and a host of other musical and cultural luminaries and, let's face it, tastemakers. Out on the 2nd of October, the double album celebrates the shops consistent patronage of independence - both in retail and in the support it has consistently offered to musicians and music lovers alike.
