(Launch) - P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Nelly, Ja Rule and MOP with Crazy Town are confirmed to perform at the Source Hip-Hop Music Awards 2001, airing 8 p.m. ET on Aug. 28 on UPN. The two-hour program will be taped Aug. 20 at Miami's Jackie Gleason Theatre.

The awards program has announced an additional recognition, the Source Sports athlete of the year award, which will be presented to the Baltimore Ravens' Ray Lewis. As previously announced, LL Cool J will receive the lifetime achievement award; and OutKast and Eminem are top nominees earning five nominations each, including album of the year and single of the year honors.
