Sydney, AU. (Universal Music Australia) - ARIA Awards organisers are proud to announce further performers and special co-presenters who will light up the stage at the 2006 ARIA Awards, brought to you by Motorola, on SUNDAY OCTOBER 29TH at ACER ARENA. With an exclusive broadcast on NETWORK TEN at 7.30pm, industry ticket sales almost sold out and general public ticket sales going through the roof, the event is proving to be one hot ticket. So without further ado we can reveal that the following artists will join KEITH URBAN, ESKIMO JOE, THE VERONICAS and WOLFMOTHER live on stage at the 2006 ARIA Awards.

HILLTOP HOODS, arguably Australia's most successful hip-hop act, will take the stage at the 2006 ARIA Awards to perform beats that draw from the best musical traditions of funk, jazz and soul. When the heads of rock fans, dance music devotees and even casual radio listeners all nod in unison to the Hoods infectious beats it's no wonder the boys have racked up a number of prestigious industry awards, have a growing legion of dedicated fans and scored a No 1 ARIA chart debut with their platinum selling album The Hard Road. Nominated for 5 ARIA Awards, live the HILLTOP HOODS are untouchable.

Also nominated for 5 ARIA Awards (plus 2 Artisan Award nominations) is BERNARD FANNING who will bring his unique voice to the 2006 ARIA Awards. Taking advantage of a break from his multi ARIA Award winning band Powderfinger, Fanning released a hugely successful solo album Tea and Sympathy in October 2005, which debuted at No 1 on the ARIA Albums chart. On January 26, 2006, the lead track Wish You Well was voted in at No 1 on Australian youth radio station Triple J's 2005 Hottest 100 poll. He took the album live to the people and a series of sell-out shows quickly followed. He's a little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll. Don't miss the multi talented BERNARD FANNING when he performs live at the 2006 ARIA Awards.

Bringing a little Motown magic to the 2006 ARIA Awards will be HUMAN NATURE who have been nominated for 2 ARIA Awards. Their album Reach Out: The Motown Record is a bona fide smash hit - already 5 times platinum and rising. In fact it's such a hit that the lads, Toby, Phil, Mike and Andrew, will release their next album Dancing In The Street: The Songs Of Motown II, on October 14. These old tunes take HUMAN NATURE back to their roots. In 1990, the four school friends from the Sydney suburbs who shared a love of singing and music, decided to form a vocal group and worked up a repertoire of covers and old soul standards. Watch one of Australia's finest pop acts come full circle at the 2006 ARIA Awards,

Joining JAMES MATHISON at the podium as a presenter for the 2006 ARIA Awards will be star of both the small and large screen Mr JOHNNY KNOXVILLE. Known for his cunning stunts and currently starring along with his crew in the Wolfmother film clip for Joker and The Thief, KNOXVILLE will be in Australia to promote the sequel to the hugely successful Jackass movie Jackass Number 2. In town to promote his album Right Where You Want Me US pop star JESSE MCCARTNEY will also take time out to co-present at the ARIA Awards. And Little Birdy's KATY STEELE and her brother, The Sleepy Jackson's LUKE STEELE will also step up to the presenting plate.
