London, UK (Dust Records) - ...there is power here, no little insight, and some very fine songs, too MOJO!

'impressively versatile...the ghost of George Harrison in his pipes and a Dylan-like propensity for songs' WORD

Daniel Rachel's stunning 2nd album 'A Taste of Money' has a glorious upbeat feel, with captivating, luscious string arrangements, fantastically catchy pop chorus' and beautiful, bitter-sweet ballads.

The 45 minute album features many guest appearances including, John McCusker (Mercury Music Prize nominee) who leads the Kate Rusby band through a sure fire hit 'Hearts and Bones'.

Ocean Colour Scene lead singer Simon Fowler has produced the Bee Gees influenced 'Face the Sun' adding uplifting backing vocals.

Willis, who raptured the music press with her Warner Brothers album 'Come Get Some', delivers a rootsy duet on the raucous 'Bucket and Broom Song'.

Joe Atkinson (Flipron, Neville Staples' Specials) rouses 'Driving Round the Bend' with some tremendous keyboard playing.

'A Taste of Money' showcases a highly original vocalist in Daniel Rachel whose lyrical abilities far transcend most pop contempories. He is beautifully poetic and highly evocative with a tremendous turn of wit.

The new album carries a delightful video for the forthcoming single 'Let It Be Mine' filmed by the BBC's award winning drama 'Bleak House' crew and directed by Rod Main (U2, Madonna)
Daniel was formerly lead singer of Midlands-based band Rachel's Basement. In 2002, having moved to London two years earlier, he released his self-financed debut album 'A Simple Twist of Folk', to considerable media praise. Q and Mojo championed 'a poetic writing talent with articulate and elegant songs 'a real depth of emotion', 'the work of a major new artist'.
Daniel has continued to build an impressive grass roots support around the UK, touring regularly and supporting amongst others Billy Bragg, Nizlopi, Simon Fowler and Thea Gilmore.
