LOS ANGELES (myspace.com/deadsmilingpirates) - The former Metallica producer Flemming Rasmussen has produced Dead Smiling Pirates' new single 'Strictly Ballroom' and you can now download it on MySpace.

'In the early Napster days Lars Ulrich from Metallica once said that most artists are barely earning a decent wage and need every bit of revenue they can get to survive. We do agree, but while popularity among paying listeners ensures a level of financial success, popularity among 'music pirates' are our gold. As a new and independent band, we want people to discover and listen to our music. That's why we offer our new single free of charge', the band says.

Dead Smiling Pirates was formed in 2005 and their self-financed debut album is going to be released New Year's eve. Flemming Rasmussen in Sweet Silence Studios produced the album in the spring of 2006.
Metallica recorded their albums "Ride the Lightning" and "Master of Puppets" together with Flemming Rasmussen in Sweet Silence Studios in the 80s.
