Anastacia To Perform At NYPD & NYFD Charity Football Game

NEW YORK (Anastacia Fans Website) - International singing sensation Anastacia will perform her new single, "One Day In Your Life," during halftime at the 30th annual New York Police Department (NYPD) versus New York Fire Department (NYFD) charity football game. The Fun City Bowl, which pits the NYPD against the NYFD in a friendly game of football, will take place Sunday (May 19) at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

This year's game is especially meaningful since all of the proceeds from the event will go to the family members of police officers and firefighters lost on September 11. New York Governor George Pataki, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, as well as some 40-50,000 spectators, are expected to be on hand for the game, which will air live on cable's MSG Network. Rumor has it that President George W. Bush might also make an appearance, but his schedule is not revealed in advance for security reasons.

Anastacia's new album, Freak Of Nature, is set for U.S. release on June 18. Anastacia will also perform at VH1 Divas Las Vegas on May 23, and in June she is scheduled to perform on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, ABC's The View, and ABC's Live! With Regis & Kelly.
