(Launch) - After several fruitless attempts to reach an amicable agreement, concert promoters Cliff Richey Jr. and Maricela Delgado have filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Destiny's Child for failing to perform on June 16, 2000, at the Memorial Coliseum in Farmington, N.M. The suit alleges breach of written contract, general negligence, negligent interference with business relationship and unfair business practices. The two parties have been working to resolve the issue out of court as Destiny's Child incurred approximately $6,581 in expenses even though the performance never took place. When the parties couldn't settle on a new concert date, the legal proceedings were initiated. The suit also names Farrah Franklin, who is no longer with the group but who was a member of the group at the time of the scheduled performance.
