TORONTO, Canada (Top40 Charts/ Skylar Entertainment) - 'It's been a whirlwind 30 days since Berlin Boot Camp has been released,' says Jen Militia's frontman Mike Dainjah about the bands third album. Jen Militia's first single 'This Is Not A Test' has radio, press and the music industry talking as it climbs up the commercial rock radio charts hitting No 54 this week.
Jen Militia released Berlin Boot Camp independently with a sold out show in their hometown of Kitchener, Ontario and immediately hit the road touring to the east coast and back. Meanwhile, the press response has been supportive with positive reviews and making the covers of View and Echo Weekly. Just one month later when they hit Toronto, an impressive show of major label and radio folks walked in for a midnight set on a Tuesday to see what all the fuss was about. Jen Militia did not disappoint!
'We've been preaching the militant Gospel from Chatham to Charlottetown and we are overwhelmed by the response,' says Dainjah, 'radio all across the country has been extremely friendly to us and we keep getting met with enthusiasm and free drinks. Viva la revolution!'
Dainjah is backed by virtuoso guitarist Jay Double, the powerhouse rhythms of Christion and Kyle Nova, Holla the entertainer and notorious beat-jacker Gord Pesst. Their mission: to reclaim the airwaves from the Sucka MCees.
Now Canadian Music Week has called and has asked them to join the festival. Jen Militia will perform at the Neutral Lounge on March 8th at 10pm.
