Madrid, Spain. (Top40 Charts/ Gas-Oil Records) - After their most recent release this January 2007; the latest album from Pull, out thanks to Gas-Oil Records (an independent and upcoming label from Madrid), has been praised in different media such as radio, TV, and Internet. Among these we find Rne3 (the best independent radio station in Spain), or several important rock magazines such as Rock Zone (February), the most read music magazine in Spain Mondo Sonoro (March) and others such as
Heavy Rock. But most important, their single "Take your time" has been among the TOP 10 in MTV last February. They also have played in several TV shows such as the independent music TV program: "Los Conciertos de Radio3" from TVE2 (the second channel from Spanish
National TV)
Pull was formed in the summer of 2000 between Madrid and Olympia, capital of Washington State, close to Seattle, cradle of so many music streams. In 2002 they settled in Madrid, becoming a power trio formed by the Spaniard Marcelo Segarra (voice, guitar and composer), the Chilean Cristian Vazquez (drums) and the Colombian David Enciso (bass). As you can expect, all together brings a whole mixture of influences and cultures that conform their unclassifiable rock.
In 2004 they released their first work for Hilargi Records, with thirteen tracks produced by them. Highlighting songs as "16 of May", "To get what you want" and the astonishing "Monkey no more" that counts with the participation of Victor Coyote.
Pull returned to work with "Take Your Time", their third studio album; that carries on with the path they started with "The Sadness Ep", released at the end of last year. The solid and outstanding evolution of this emerging band has shaped a sound that is completely unique and personal.
Recorded at the Sonora Studios in Madrid, under the direction of Jesús Arispont (Def Con Dos), with whom Pull has co-produced the album; this new release is composed by new tracks full of a heartrending energy achieved by the incorporation of electronic elements in the production, plus a few extra surprises: such as tracks produced by the English producer Harold Burgon, who has worked with David Bowie, The Pogues, Terrorvision and even worked as a sound engineer for the Beatles. Harold has explored the most classic and calmed side of PULL, adding an undeniable elegance and clarity to their sound.
As an advance for their upcoming releases, now there is available at the official website of the band (www.pull-official.com) one of the three tracks remixed in Granada by Harold Burgon. These three tracks are "For This Hands", "Come To Me" and "Don't".
