Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ BGM
Music Media) - Lantana has been added to the all-star lineup that includes
George Strait,
Reba McEntire and others for COUNTRY THUNDER USA / Ennis,
Texas on Friday, May 25. The Dallas-based trio will appear at 1 p.m. on the Main Stage and at 5:30 p.m. at The Saloon.
Lantana's wide range of musical influences, immediately identifiable lead and harmony vocals make for high-energy, eclectic live performances that have earned them a spot on the Dallas Morning News' Top 10 Country Show list for 2006. Their diversity is undeniable – allowing them to transcend the borders of the traditional to create a fusion-rich sound that is based in country – and highlighted by rock and blues overtones.
Country radio programmers in Texas and across the country have welcomed Biz Haddock, Karol Ann DeLong and Dalene Richelle with open arms, and 'Let Somebody Love You,' the current single from their debut CD, UNBRIDLED (BGM Records), is moving up the Music Row Charts after several months on the Texas Music chart. Their previous single, the raucous country-rocker, "Country As A City Girl Can Be,' was a Top 10 hit. National and international media coverage has kept the group in the spotlight and in front of the fans, and recent features include the April/May issue of CMA Close Up magazine, Country Weekly, Best In Texas, Dallas Morning News, XM Satellite Radio, Maverick and UC magazines.
Lantana has played before sell-out crowds at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, impressed audiences during Country Radio Seminar-38, and recently entertained the troops at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo , NM .
