BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Sire Records) - Following on the heels of a triumphant appearance at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival, Jack's Mannequin, the side project of Something Corporate singer-keyboardist Andrew McMahon, will make the rounds of this summer's major music festivals, including The Bamboozle in East Rutherford, NJ, on May 6th, Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI, on June 28th, and Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL, on August 3rd.

McMahon formed Jack's Mannequin with guitarist Bobby Anderson, bassist Jonathan Sullivan, and drummer Jay McMillan in Orange County, CA, in 2004. In June 2005, the day the band finished mastering the last song on its debut album "Everything in Transit," McMahon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia, forcing him to immediately undergo chemotherapy. Two months later, Maverick Records released the album, which debuted at Number 37 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. After going into remission following chemo and a bone marrow transplant from his sister, McMahon launched a 22-city "Tour for the Cure," which raised more than $125,000 to benefit The Dear Jack Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by McMahon to fund cancer research.

For his efforts, McMahon is being honored this year at the 2nd Annual "30 Under 30" awards, presented by "Entertainment Tonight," which honors popular Hollywood entertainers and entrepreneurs for their achievements before the age of 30. Other 2007 honorees include Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Jerry Ferrara, and Christina Ricci. The ceremony takes place May 3rd at the Camden House of Beverly Hills from 7 to 9 pm.

Jack's Mannequin will also appear on the upcoming CD "Instant Karma: The Campaign to Save Darfur," covering John Lennon's "God," with Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood on drums. The album, which features more than 20 iconic Lennon songs recorded by an array of best-selling artists, including U2, Green Day, and R.E.M., will be released by Warner Bros. Records on June 12th.
