Listen with an OPEN HEART & MIND as every song touches you in a way that forces you to remember your first love, the struggle to maintain love, & the Struggle on the streets to Survive! Tha PieceMakerz, originally from the Tampa/St. Petersburg area of Florida, took two different musical paths as children, one the way of the Miami Bass music scene and the other Jazz & Classical music! These brothers somehow found each other uniting at the mid-point of a circle. That circle being the Ups And Downs of the music industry.
Growing up with a plethora of musical family backgrounds and legendary influences, like but not limited to the Late L.C. Sneed of Warner Brothers, these two young men have been through almost everything you could imagine any artist should have to endure! Having their start professionally in the Miami Bass music era, working and performing with such artist as Quad Force, Party Boyz, Skin-2-win, Gucci Crew, Luke, Disco Rick & The Dogs, Mc A.D.E, MC Shy-D to The Legendary Devastator -X, these brothers have been around from almost day one! Either on the creative side of song ideas, to engineering, producing and even writing, these artists have had their hands in some of everyone's projects from the start!
Having done independent singles and songs on various compilations such as "Sonic Boom94 Bass in Yo Face" & The Party Boyz Album featuring Dj. Tranz (Ride Out). After various hardships and trials of 'take advantage of the new artist' disease, these brothers picked themselves up, dusted off and continued on becoming ghost writers led by the eldest brother Sly "Pyper" Jordan, who after linking up with friend Kevin Hall (Rondor Music), went on to write and produce for such artists as Jaheim, Donnell Jones, Debra Cox & more! Even though the brothers still endured the ups and downs of ghost writing not receiving credit for songs they wrote, Tha PieceMakerz were able to overcome the obstacles put before them by realizing what is missing in music truly - UNITY. They eventually went on to write for many more artists like but not limited to: The Mighy O'jay's, New Edition (That's Why I Lied), Jessica Simpson (Fly), Kelly Rowland (Train On the Track) the Maid in Manhattan Soundtrack, Slang Dat Bottom (Bring It On Soundtrack previously on Bass in Yo Face) to more recently writing on TIMBALANDS' New Album ShockValue (Bounce), Shareefa (Mr. Incredible) & much more.
"If we listed all the songs we have had our hands on or wrote, people would be surprised...." Says SG-1 from Tha Piecemakerz.
"We have watched the Music Industry Change & Develop into what some says now is a genre with no real meaning outside of glorifying money, diamonds, or jewels. This makes sense as to why we have a declining market & the end of rap as we know it and the re-birth of Hip-Hop. Our solution is we have decided on putting out our own Music, because Music has meaning that influences peoples' way of thinking, and if you put hate, lust, & beef in the minds of our youth then you will get the never ending result which is what we are witnessing now!
"We have to start creating Music that lasts with our children; something they can come back to or recall Mom & Dad playing when they get older that they will be able to relate to then. And we don't mean Pop That P______, or Snap with It! Those songs have their place but should be met with Balance!
"So what you hear on this album is growth from the meeting of a mate in the club, with brothers who are only there to fight, to meeting that someone who makes you Sweat Out Their Or YOUR Perm, to finally meeting that person who made you change your life, or made you a man (or woman) of your word. To realizing no matter how fly you are, or how Diva you are, we still are forced to become hustlers to survive, all the time wearing and living stereotypes like 'Thugs, Hustlers, B*&ches, Nig*a's, Gothic, Mis-fits' & even worse..."
